Eco Friendly and Sustainability
Boho Stones will always work hard to build a more sustainable and eco-friendly business model. We continually revisit all aspects of our operations to ensure we are forever evolving to achieve the best possible work practices. Our vision is to utilise the highest quality metals to ensure our customers purchase products that will last for years to come with the proper care applied.
We only deal with sterling silver and 20k gold vermeil (which is gold plated onto a base of sterling silver), in most cases our sterling silver is recycled. What does ‘recycled’ mean I hear you say? Well, some of the silver purchased is recycled by our suppliers. We also utilise our own silver scraps and turn them into beautiful molten necklaces, which means that nothing goes to waste! We purchase through Palloy’s which are an Australian company that have stringent ethical guidelines that cover their own workplace guidelines, their suppliers and their process when it comes to refining systems.
Almost all of our suppliers are Australian small businesses, and we will always support as local as possible to ensure our carbon footprint is minimal. We refrain from plastic-use (wherever possible) and ensure our packaging is minimal and recyclable.
At Boho Stones we are very conscious of packaging wastage and sustainability. All of our orders are packaged in a little recyclable keep-sake box that is surrounded by paper filler that I personally recycle from shopping bags that I collect to recycle from my household as well as my family.
All orders are packed to ensure the most appropriate number of boxes are supplied so as not to facilitate the use of unnecessary packaging. Our mailing boxes are made from 99.9% recycled paper and are recyclable and compostable.
